There was no class 18 last Thursday – hour exam instead.

I couldn’t get to class today, and neither Mark Pawlak nor Maura could cover, so we’re trying an experiment – reading the first two sections of Chapter 8 to see if they can work through the linear approximation to Pisa tower’s lean with no teacher present. Maybe it will be easier!

I will keep this posting open – maybe questions can happen on the fly.

11:10 I just heard that class has started – but not real work yet. Tom is there.

12:04 Class is just about over, with no queries from the students. So all went swimmingly well, or people were too confused to ask, or we just don’t quite know how to make this distance learning thing work.
