Summary: Project hosting question

Initial Comment:
I teach software engineering at UMass-Boston. I have
four teams of four students each working on year long
projects. The work will be public/free, but not likely
to be longlived or of substantial interest in the wider
world.

My students need to learn good development practices.
They might learn a lot using sourceforge for bug
tracking, maybe version control, maybe forum.

Is this a reasonable use of your resources? Is there a
good way to clean up after the year?

We don't have anything in the system to support students at
this time.  I think it's something we need to deploy.  I
would like to talk to you more about it.

I am now escalating this request to the Site Director for
SourceForge.net (Patrick McGovern) for review.  As a
preliminary answer, I can state that we generally do not
provide hosting for test projects. All of our projects have
a sense of permanence within the SourceForge.net site
(clean-up can be an issue).  Please wait for a response from
Patrick McGovern before proceeding.
