Gradescope
- Gradescope is is an on line application for giving and grading exams
- The weekly quizzes will be given on Gradescope
- You will have to connect to the Gradescope website to take the quiz
- The quiz will only be available during a 15 minute window
- The Midterm and the Final will be paper test
- But I will use Gradescope to score them
- You will receive an email from Gradescope when a quiz or exam has been scored
- Gradescope allows you to ask for a rescore on any question
Joining Gradescope
- You will receive an email sent to your UMB email account from
Gradescope
- It will say that you have been added to one of my classes
- If you have never registered with Gradescope
- Click the "Set your password" link
- Confirm your password
- Click Save
- You will then be taken to the page for your
course
- If you are already registered with Gradescope
- Click the link to the course
- At the login screen enter your UMB email
address and your Gradescope password
- If you have forgotten you password, click the "Forgot
your password" link
- If you have any questions look
here
- Or post them on Piazza
- Or contact the Class Assistant
- There is a dummy Quiz 0 which you can take if you would like to practice
- It will not be scored and is not mandatory
Quizzes on Gradescope
- Weekly graded quizzes will be given through Gradescope
- The quizzes will be available on Tuesday 15 minutes before the end of class
- You have 10 minutes to complete the quiz
- You do not have to be in class to take the Quiz
- You may only use the information in your head when taking the quiz
- Cheating will result in a score of 0 and will be reported to the Provost
Missing a Quiz
- If you miss a quiz you will receive a score of zero
- If you have a valid excuse for missing a quiz send me an email
- And I will excuse you from the quiz
