UMass Boston is 3 miles south from downtown Boston and easy to reach by public or private transportation.By driving:

- Interstate 93 North (Southeast Expressway) to Exit 14 (Morrissey Boulevard/JFK Library/UMass).
- Continue straight off the exit ramp onto Morrissey Boulevard for approximately one mile.
- Turn right into the campus and follow the driveway to the parking areas.
From the West:
- Interstate 93 South (Southeast Expressway) to exit 15 (Columbia Road/JFK Library/UMass). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and proceed toward a rotary.
- Turn right the first opportunity out of the rotary and remain in the right lane descending the ramp onto Morrissey Boulevard.
- Stay to the right of the curb at the bottom of the ramp and in the left lane.
- The first traffic light is in front of The Boston Globe plant.
- At the second traffic light, turn left into the campus and follow the driveway to the parking areas.
- Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) to Interstate 93 South (Southeast Expressway) to Exit 15 (Columbia Road/JFK Library/UMass).
- Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and proceed toward a rotary.
- Turn right the first opportunity out of the rotary and remain in the right lane descending the ramp onto Morrissey Boulevard.

On-campus parking is available. The Beacons Lot is the closest parking lots to my office. However, it takes only 5 to 10 minutes from any parking lots to my office. Parking fee is $6.
If you come to the campus using public transportation, take the MBTA Red Line subway to the JFK/UMASS station. There is a free shuttle service between the subway station and the campus. It takes only a couple of minutes from the subway station to the campus. Shuttle buses run every 5 to 10 minutes. See this site for more details on the subway map. When you arrive at the campus, visit the 3rd floor of the Science Center building. Prof. Suzuki's office is Room 168 on the 3rd floor of the Science Center building. Here is a floor map of the Science Center's 3rd floor.
The most convenient hotel is Doubletree Club Hotel Boston Bayside, which is virtually next to the campus (5 to 10 min walk to the campus).
