Class 22 Exercise

Log in to users3

Run an SSH client
Run putty.exe if you have a PC or Terminal if you have a Mac.
Enter your password

Create a directory for this exercise

Go to your home directory
```
cd
```
Go to your it116 directory
```
cd  it116
```
Go to your ex directory
```
cd ex
```
Make sure you are in your ex directory
```
pwd
```
Create a directory for this exercise
```
mkdir  ex22
```
Check that the directory was created
```
ls
```
Go to this new directory
```
cd ex22
```

Script for this Exercise

Create the script ex22.py
```
nano  ex22.py
```
Enter the following text into the script file

Make this script executable
```
chmod  755 ex22.py
```
Run this script
```
./ex22.py
```

You should see

list_1 : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
list_2 : [6, 7, 8, 9, 10]
list_1 + list_2 : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]
list_2 + list_1 : [6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
list_1 * 2: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
list_2 * 3: [6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]

lists_add(list_1, list_2) : 55
lists_add(list_1, [3,2,1]) : 21

lists_subtract(list_2, list_1) : 25
lists_subtract(list_2, [5,4,3]) : 9

list_average(list_1) 3.0
list_average(list_2) 8.0
