Historic Window Restoration Two-day  Workshop

May 18  & 19, 2006
Day  1: The  historic John B. Gough Estate at Hillside / Boylston  
Day  2: Assabet  Valley Vocational School / Marlboro  
9  am  -  2 pm  (lunch will be  provided) 
Cost:  Day 1: $45 / Day 1 &  2: $75

This  two-day program is an introduction to the conservation, repair and 
restoration  of early, historical windows. The program will concentrate on window 
sash and  will provide both theoretical and practical information on 
conservation, repair  and restoration.  It will also  provide an understanding for why 
window frames and particularly sashes are one  of the most significant details 
that define a particular architectural style.  John Butler, an accomplished 
preservation artisan will be the workshop  instructor. An introduction to 
Hillside will be given by project architect John  Salem.
