[MassHistPres] Need help saving bldg in LHD

Thanks for your input.  We have been so activist that we convinced  Town 
Meeting to create the Local Historic District 2 years ago.  We only  learned of an 
engineering report less than a month ago and 5 influential town  boards not 
only said OK let's demolish it, but they have a special question on  the ballot 
at next week's TM to appropriate funds for demolition!
 
The engineering report was prepared by the same group that made reports in  
2004 and 2002 the former also included build out options.  Two years later  and 
a $40,000 NEW fee they gave us different options, but recommended  demo.
 
So, yes we have to educate and become activist - but we've had 2 weeks and  
lots of misinformation thrown into the mix.  What we would like is for  RFP's 
to go out so that those who are interested can submit proposals.  The  
Historical Commission has had much interest in the past week...but we don't  issue the 
RFP.  We think this will happen.
