The Greenfield Recorder included on Saturday 8/12 an AP article by Morris &
James Carey headed 'Double your pleasure with 'double-hungs'. The column is
primarily a detailed instruction on how to repair weights, but the next to
last paragraph says:
"The one big problem with old-style wood-double-hungs is that they are about
the least energy efficient of all windows known to mankind. Repair them for
as long as practical, but if you really want long term comfort replace them
as soon as you can. And that's all there is to it." .. and for more tips
visit www.onthehouse.com or call our listener hot line at 1-800-737-2474.
Is this making the rounds?
