Bedford had a similar situation at least 20 years ago, where the developer wanted to remove a portion of an old stone wall to make a passage way onto a main street.  The HDC denied the request, and was taken to court.  Records will show that the HDC won the court case, and the
stone wall was not broken or removed.  Contact me if you wish more information.
