If this needs to go to planning board or ZBA for approval, perhaps there
is some way to protect the most significant areas of the property. What
has your town planner suggested? From what I've seen, Wilbraham has
really made some great efforts in crafting bylaws to protect open space,
farmland and fragile areas - such as ridgelines. At a minimum,
including mention of stonewalls on MHC inventory forms is helpful. Has
this property been included on an MHC inventory form already? Chris.

Converation minded group in Wilbraham has asked for info to back up an
effort to perserve old stone walls on farm land. The land has been sold
to a developer and development may involve the removal of the stone
walls. Thank you. Carol Albano, Wilbraham Historic Commission
