Carol,

If the walls are immediately along a designated "Scenic Road" (under the
MA Scenic Roads Act MGL Chapter 40, Section 15C), then they may be
protected (along with the trees). Wilbraham does have a scenic road
bylaw enacted.  I would also check into possible corridor protection
bylaws or historic districts that may encompass the walls in question.

Converation minded group in Wilbraham has asked for info to back up an
effort to perserve old stone walls on farm land.  The land has been sold
to a developer and development may involve the removal of the stone
