What are the communities who have the Demolition Delay By-law doing with requests for demolition of small or unkept
dwellings?  Obviously we all have the same problem with trying to save these structures. But even if there is a delay enforced to the limit of each bylaw where is the dwelling to be moved to?  We are trying affordable housing but they are slow pokes.
The PROBLEM is that the cost of land is worth much more than the house.  We are running into  requests for tear downs for
new dwellings.  Is this a catch 22 situation?  Basically you are damned if you do and damned if you don't
