[MassHistPres] 19th C. plate glass

A Federal Style cottage, built 1836-1838 in Canton, has interesting  pilaster 
sidelights with colored glass panes ( yellow, red, lavender,  blue).  I have 
sent photos to the Sandwich Glass Museum curator who  has confirmed that the 
Boston and Sandwich Glass Co. did not make  plate glass.  I am wondering if 
these sidelights would have been original  to the house, or a later 19th C. 
replacement.  Also, I would like to  research companies that produced plate glass 
from this era.  Any and all  leads to information are welcome.
