There must have been an earlier request to Emergency Management agencies.
The Greenfield HC replied to the local entity a few months ago. Marcia

Greg,
Holyoke doesn't have a historical society---only a historical commission.
I'm including Chris Skelly's email at Mass. Historical Commission..... you
have probably checked with them already.

To those who are compiling the emergency cultural plan for the state of
Massachusetts, I am thrilled to hear of your project! Given that so many
or our
state's cultural resources are scattered in uncertain environmental and
storage
conditions in the many local historical societies throughout our
Commonwealth, I have advocated for some time about the need for an inventory
(secure of
course) of what is held in these institutions and more funding for
conservation
and security services. Compiling an address book of historic societies is
a
start that I hope you will share with us all.
In any event, please include The Somerville Museum, (formerly the Somerville
Historical Society) at One Westwood Road, Somerville, 02143 in your project.
The Acting Director is Evelyn Battinelli. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Barbara Mangum
Sculpture and Decorative Arts Conservation Services
and President of Historic Somerville
