             REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS



1.            June 22, 2007



2.      The Belchertown Historical Commission, by and through the  
Town of Belchertown will be seeking proposals from qualified  
consultants to inventory 130 historic structures in the Town of  
Belchertown, according to standards set by the Massachusetts  
Historical Commission.



3.      Applicants must have:  1) a Bachelor's degree in Historic  
Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a  
closely related field, plus at least two years full‑time experience  
in an area relevant to the project; or 2) a Master's degree in any of  
the above‑mentioned areas.



4.      Interested parties should send a letter of interest and  
resume no later than 5pm on July 13, 2007 to:

                         Belchertown, MA 01007



5.      All qualified parties will be sent a Request for Proposals  
upon submission of a letter of interest and resume.  The Town of  
Belchertown is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer in

6.      Requests for Proposals will be available to be sent on July  
16, 2007 and will be due no later than 5pm on August 16, 2007.



7.      The Town of Belchertown reserves the right to reject any and  
all proposals.
