Hello, 
An article in the Sunday Springfield Republican on 3/18/07 describes the removal of the "unsafe" Chicopee Falls United Methodist Church building, a classic design with an 1826 Revere bell. It was signed over to the Central Baptist Church across the street which  will use the space for a parking lot. Useful figures in the article cite the cost difference between deconstruction $18,500. and demolition estimate without salvage $47,000. The church is inventoried but not in a district. The recycling firm is 18th and 19th Century Recycling of Spencer.
