Chris,
I remember a Rhode Island Historic Preservation Conference had someone from the three corners area
who was dealing with this issue. I talked with her about it and their interest in saving the
building. Also, at the last conference by MHC there was a discussion of another site in the
session about municiapl landscapes.
Perhaps you knew about them. We out here have a historic house (1840s) on Land Bank land.
However, the project to restore it has not started yet. The Land Bank will put out the project
for an RFP for ideas on converting the building into something like afffordable housing or
offices. The Land Bank has a few of these types of places - which they alternately want to tear
down or move. The HDC finally put its foot down with a recent barn/house. The Land Bank
continuously says that the money they have cannot be used for buidling restoration. (But they did
build a golf club....)
