In Dunstable, the Con.Comm., Community Preserv. Comm., and Historical Comm. worked together with our local land trust as well as Trust for Public Land to get a significant, endangered chunk of rural landscape saved from development, as well as a preservation restriction/plan for the early 19th century farmhouse that will be sold on a smaller carved-out parcel. This plan was unanimously voted for funding at recent Special Town Meeting. That was a great win for both the natural and built environment, all one thing anyhow, in saving some of the historic rural character of our small town very threatened by development by 40B and other projects.

Good Morning, I would like to hear experiences with local land trusts in
Massachusetts regarding protecting both land and historically
significant buildings found on the property. Chris.
