Chris,
Very good topic.
Our recent experiences working with our Land Bank have been tenuous
regarding historic properties. I believe tunnel vision is the culprit
as boards or commission in general tend to be narrowly focused on their
mission and lose sight of the larger picture of integrating the built
environment with the conserved land. Having some type of symposium
regarding illustrating the benefits of bringing the "Greens"(land
trusts) and the "Grays"(historic preservation groups) together could be
very useful. They are both well organized and influential groups but
don't share many members and therefore much understanding of the other.

Good Morning, I would like to hear experiences with local land trusts in
Massachusetts regarding protecting both land and historically
significant buildings found on the property. Chris.
