[MassHistPres] Powerwashing a Picket Fence

Hello,

 

I'm assuming the same advice (against powerwashing a clapboard home)
would also hold for powerwashing a picket fence (to prevent against
future stripping and rotting of the wood)? I powerwashed a section of
our fence (which is historically in sync with our 1900 Queen Anne
Victorian home) last weekend, and was planning to continue along with it
this weekend as well - but now wonder if this is not a good idea.  (My
goal is to remove the moss/mold growth, in preparation for re-staining,
which at this point I probably won't get to until next spring).  Any
advice on this would be helpful - thanks!
