[MassHistPres] Possible cancellation of property insurance in local historic districts

A resident of the Westport Point Historic District was told by her agent  
that her insurance company had suggested that her property  insurance would not 
be renewed because "she lived in a historic  district."  This unfortunately 
appeared on the front page of our local  newspaper and caused quite a stir.  
Since then and after the resident  contested the matter, the agent has informed 
the resident that  she has not been canceled this year but the future is not 
clear.
 
Has such a problem come up elsewhere?  Is "residence in a historic  district" 
a legal basis for cancellation?
