A May 8, 6:00 pm, Cape and Islands seminar explores the relationship between embodied energy and operational savings, and illustrates that relationship with a description of strategies - including geothermal heating - used to renovate a 150-year-old house for residential and business use.
Sponsored by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), this seminar is led by Maine architect and former Boston Architectural College president George Terrien AIA. This interactive presentation is open on a first-come/first-served basis to all Cape and Islands design professionals, preservationists, builders, clients/owners, building officials and allied industry professionals.
The fee for this session is $15 ($10 for BSA members); advance registration is required and must be received by 2:00 pm on May 5. Space is limited; to reserve your seat, complete and return the registration form at www.architects.org/reservations now. Architects who attend this session earn AIA and Massachusetts state continuing-education credits. For directions to the Complete Home Concepts classroom, call 508-760-4427.
