[MassHistPres] Flexible Zoning

In Lenox we are gearing up for a re-write of our Zoning Bylaw to  
bring it up to date, among other goals. An addition will be Flexible  
Zoning.

Lenox has 34 Cottages (Great Estates) and a Great Estates Bylaw that  
lists only seven of them. A few estates  ( e.g. Cranwell and  
Blantyre) have over the past several years built  condominiums  
without any written guidelines to protect the Cottage on the property.

Has any other town written specific wording to protect historic  
buildings on develop-able land? Or to protect historic buildings that  
are developed into apartment buildings?
