Gutters are also available in Azek (PVC) material. They look like
wooden gutters and should last much longer. I haven't used them yet,
but we're considering them on a mansard roofed house that we're
renovating because the height of the house would make regular cleaning
and maintenance difficult.
Here's a link to a lumber yard in Massachusetts that carries them.
I'm sure many others do as well.
