I have a favor to ask. Does anyone have a good digital photo of a person painting a late-19th century house that they wouldn't mind me using? I'm working on a Design Guidelines brochure for a New York community and would really like to illustrate the idea of painting and maintenance. The only pictures I have are of painters working on early and mid-18th century house, which wouldn't be appropriate for this project. Unfortunately the timeline on this project is such that I can't wait until spring to get one from the community I'm working for.
Which reminds me, when I was working back in Minnesota I advocated for communities exchanging pictures of presevation don'ts & remuddlings so that it would be less sensitive to show to one's own community when giving presentations and illustrating bad preservation practices. I wonder if that has been done in MA.
