Alas we may hve one here in Orleans, on Cape Cod. It is the Elijah Cole
house, an early 19th century Cape. Elijah Cole was a sea captain of some
renown. Since the new property owners have hired an attorney and have come
to us to argue against our demo delay, it appears that they, and their
architects (a design-build firm known for large trophy homes here) are
committed to getting rid of it. We will keep you informed.
thanks, Jim Hadley, Chair, Orleans Historical Commission
