As part of the development agreement with Avalon when they acquired a
portion of the former Danvers State Hospital property was that $500,000
was to be given to the Town for preservation purposes. $400,000 of that
is going be used to rehab our Town Hall which is the oldest building
that the town owns. The other $100,000 will be controlled by the
Preservation Commission following the submittal of a plan to the Town
Manager as to how the funds would be used.

Could we have more information on the source of this fund and how it
operates?

Thank you.
