NATIONAL PRESERVATION MONTH
Next month, the month of May, is National Preservation Month. The
theme is "This Place Matters." Communities all over the country are
holding special events to raise awareness and celebrate their unique
historic places. Examples include lectures, preservation awards,
walking tours, newspaper columns, exhibits at the library, block parties
and community picnics. Is your local historical commission hosting an
event for Preservation Month? Please let us know so we can include a
listing of events here at the beginning of May. For more information on
National Preservation Month, visit
