[MassHistPres] Fwd: 2 great iPhotos showing back of stone barn

I have seen early 20th-century stone barns in some of the Massachusetts farm community where there was an excess of stone to be cleared from the fields.  There is a large one in Acton center that provided cold storage for apples.   One reason they may not have been more popular is the difficulty in expanding them.

  These are photos of a barn made from stone.  I am wondering if this is unusual in Massachusetts.  We don't know the date of the barn yet.
