Good afternoon, fellow preservationists,

The Randolph Historical Commission is requesting proposals for the
repair and restoration of our town's oldest building, the 1726 Royal
Stetson House, at 660 North Street Unoccupied for the past four
years, the house was recently foreclosed on, and the bank donated it
to the Town, who received it this fall. The building still retains
many of its character defining features, including cantilevered
fireplace flues, wainscoting and panelling in the two front rooms,
three generations of kitchen fireplace, the original chimney mass.
and more. The building badly needs re-roofing, and that will be part
of the first phase of repairs.

The initial phase of the project is expected to last approximately
5-6 months, and is funded through a grant from the town's Community
Preservation Fund, approved in May 2009 by Randolph Town Meeting.

There will be a project walk-thru at the house, located at 660 North
Street, Randolph, on Wednesday, December 23rd, at 10 AM

For more information and to request the full RFP, please contact
