[MassHistPres] Maintaining Municipalized Property

Has anyone had any experience with a local historical society maintaining a municipalized property?  In Wilbraham we have had this situation for 34 years.  I am wondering how other communities have handled this.  Have there been any problems or concerns that have arisen?  Also how are the expenses managed?
