The Town of Milton is in the process of trying to determine how to best use 
its Poor Farm. The Milton Poor Farm is one of the last remaining intact 
Poor Farm in Massachussetts.It was given to the Town of Milton under the will 
of the former Gov. Stoughton.While the final report is extensive and can be 
found on the Town Web Site, the meeting notes on the committee that studied 
the issue and made some recommendations is pretty sparce.There were a number 
of occasions where the Committee went into Exucative Session to discussan 
appraisal of the property.There were no written notes of these sessions that I 
am aware of a number of town residents filed an  open meeting law complaint 
against the Town because of this.The Norfolk County DAs office found that 
the Committee had in violated the law.
