[MassHistPres] evidence of patterned slates

Dennis,
The nail pattern may indicate a change in pattern if there is a doubling up
of slates, adding a shadow line, but it's unlikely that nail patterns will
show what the slated pattern may have been. A similar house might have a
slate pattern that a developer in the same time frame used regularly... or
another long shot is the mass archives near JFK Library has some (picture)
books from water works repairs that show some houses in the backround (in
amazing detail) that *might* be beneficial.
Below are few pictures of a house on Clinton Road that we have worked
on. Here is the link to my "pictures of pictures" of the area. Like I said,
it a bit of a roll of the dice as these pictures were taken to document a
water main break and not roof styles...
