[MassHistPres] Celebrate Dartmouth Heritage Day

The Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust [DHPT] is pleased to host an ³open
house² at the 1762 Elihu
Akin House at 762 Dartmouth Street in Dartmouth to Celebrate Dartmouth
Heritage Day and Preservation Month.  [corner location on Dartmouth St. and
Rockland St., a short distance from Padanaram Harbor]

Throughout the day, DHPT will provide tours of the house¹s interior to show
the results of the building stabilization work and recent accomplishments of
the ongoing historic preservation work in progress.  DHPT board members will
be on hand to discuss the property¹s history and to explain plans and next
steps for the property, including its transformation into a cultural
heritage center and education facility.  Photos and property artifacts will
be on display. 
 
DHPT is a regional non profit organization operating in Dartmouth and
neighboring communities.
Preservation efforts have no boundaries.  Working together to preserve OUR
Heritage from the 
Foundation Up.
