Dear Friends,
 
Well, in less than a week I will be giving that lecture at Tufts College  
regarding the enormous importance of preserving our historic  properties.  
 
The gathering at Harwich earlier this week was a great success and very  
well attended. Sarah Korjeff and the four speakers provided us with a very  
rewarding morning.  Thanks go out to all.
 
Now, I have one simple question and that is, "How many buildings, houses,  
and natural habitats have we formally preserved in Massachusetts?  Even an  
estimate would be appreciated.
