[MassHistPres] MA Register but not MACRIS?

Hi Ellen,
After some telephonic hand holding by Chris Skelly from MHC, I was able
to locate the info that I was looking for.
With his help, I found out that the asset I was looking for was listed
on the MACRIS. Once found, I subsequently noted the "Designation" field
of the asset's data file and discovered that the asset was not, in fact,
on the State Register.
Navigating and mining databases is not something that I commonly do on a
day to day basis.
I suspect that my inability to effectively use MACRIS and find the data
on my own, has more to do with my lack of familiarity with databases in
general, than any deficiency inherent inthe MACRIS system.
Fortunately the folks at MHC, once asked, were very helpfuland responsive.
Again, my thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my posting
(through the listserve _and_ privately).
Best,
H. LaCortiglia
