One last belated word on historic homeowner booklets. The Newport Restoration Foundation created such a resource called the Historic Homeowners' Toolkit and the updated version can be found at: http://www.newportrestoration.org/resources/ or specifically at: http://www.newportrestoration.org/writable/resources/hh_toolkit__web__oct_2012.pdf

We began this project 2 years ago with Newport, RI homeowners in mind but with an eye toward making it useful for all Rhode Islanders and homeowners elsewhere, especially those living in historic districts. This listserve thread tells me that such resources are in demand and we would be happy to discuss it further with those who are launching new initiatives.
