[MassHistPres] Historic Names for Town Squares/ Local Historic District Consultant

Hello!

got two questions, I'd love your input on ...

1) what is the process in your town/city for designating a town square with a family or person's name?

does the historical commission have anything to do with it? or is the decision solely made by your Board of Selectmen/Major, etc?

2) would love the names of some good consultants to do some groundwork for potential local historic districts.
