The Town of Braintree seeks estimates for the cleaning/restoration of the Braintree Soldier's Memorial, located in front of Braintree Town Hall, Washington Street, Braintree. The monument was dedicated on June 17, 1874 and honors soldiers of Braintree, MA who lost their lives in the Civil War.
The monument measures approximately 7 x 3 x 3 feet, and stands upon a base measuring approximately 10 x 3 x 3 feet. It is constructed from Blue Westerly Granite. The monument features a figure of a Union soldier holding his rile vertically in front of him.
