[MassHistPres] Use of Fiberglass

The Rocks Village Bridge was recently rehabbed. In the spirit of cooperation the RVHDC agreed to allow DOT to use fiberglass under the asphalt top. This cut down on expense. But it turns out that the fiberglass functions like a trampoline with sound. As traffic passes over the spans a loud and constant bass beat resounds through the village. It’s already loud at night. And that’s with the windows still closed.

Question: Is there a sound deadening substance or technique that can correct this?
