[MassHistPres] Examples of armory successes?

Hi, Lee,

I'm sorry to hear about the state of the Marlborough armory.
It was interesting to see that two responders to the Patch poll thought of turning it into an arts center. You might check out MACRIS and take a look at the NR documentation form for the 1887 Concord Armory, which underwent a long preservation campaign to become Concord's Center for the Performing Arts.

The armory here in Marlborough has been abandoned and ignored for years. Finally, the current owner put it up for sale.

It's in quite sad shape. (Pictures from three years ago: http://marlborough.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/what-should-happen-to-the-armory-on-lincoln-poll.)

Do you know of any economically-sustainable preservation successes with other armories in Massachusetts?

  Thank you for your help--
