The Somerville Armory has been converted into an artsccenter. I do not know anything about the finances of it but I do know that it's an amazing space and is being put to very good use. You might be able to get information about it from the owner, Joseph Sater, who owns the Middle East nightclub in Cambridge. I would not be surprised to find it is a labor of love more than a financial success, but I'm just guessing. Perhaps he knows something about getting funding for such a conversion. Or maybe someone at the Somerville Historical Commission could fill you in?
