You were all so helpful recently steering me towards traditional muralists,
thank you. I now have a new problem. A client has a lampshade, about 21"
wide, with metal ribs. Between the ribs are sheets of mica with some
overpainting of grape vines. I'm having trouble finding someone locally
that can handle all the pieces and parts - cleaning, reattaching the metal
ribs, stabilizing the mica, and inpainting where paint was lost to mica
flaking off. I've tried Newstamp and Yankee Craftsman and both said they
don't do the mica part. I don't want to ship it anywhere because it is too
fragile. Any ideas of who in the Boston/Providence area that could restore
this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
