The Pelham Historical Society is beginning the process of re-filling the
position of Curator for the Society's collections and displays at the
Church/Museum at the junction of Daniel Shays Highway (US Route 202) and
Amherst Road in Pelham. They have asked me to post a notice that they would
welcome expressions of interest from individuals.
The Curator's responsibilities in the past have been to inventory the
collections, manage the process of acquisition and de-acquisition, setting
up displays and supervision of Society member volunteers to assist visitors
to the Museum, which is open on Sunday afternoons in the summer months. The
inventory has been completed and Museum has been recently refinished inside
and outside. The Trustees are beginning to address the need to craft a plan
for more effective exhibits (both permanent and flexible). The duties of a
new Curator may differ from the past, depending on the individual's
qualifications and a new exhibit plan.
The contact with the Trustees is Blair Bigelow, whose email address is
blairf.bigelow at comcast.net.
