A while back you all helped me ID several mystery buildings by Edmund March Wheelwright. But here is one that I don’t think I sent out — to be followed another that seems so distinctive, I’m still hoping someone might recognize it.
in addition to Boston (J.P.) and Brookline (Chestnut Hill), Wheelwright did houses in Mattapoisett, Woods Hole, Plymouth, Manchester-by-the-sea, Newburyport, New Bedford, coastal Main and New Hampshire. And his wife’s family — Boott & Brooks — had estates in Dedham and Medford
This semi-butterfly plan Federal Revival looks like an estate house possibly on an elevated site.
