PAL, a leading cultural resource management (CRM) firm in the Northeast, has an immediate opening for an experienced Architectural Historian / Public Historian to join our multidisciplinary Historic Preservation Team (HPT). Demonstrated experience in conducting NHPA Section 106 projects and preparing National Register evaluations and nominations is required. The team member will conduct and manage the technical aspects of historical research, field survey, and analysis to identify and evaluate various aboveground historical resources. The Architectural Historian/Public Historian will manage documentation production within project-specific research designs and frameworks and work on challenging projects throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions while contributing to PAL's outstanding reputation for providing our clients with high-quality CRM services.  Qualified candidates must have a graduate degree in Architectural History, History, Public History, Historic Preservation, at least five years of experience in CRM.

Located in the greater Providence area, PAL offers a competitive salary and benefits package. PAL seeks motivated self-starters who wish to work on a diverse range of projects and who possess the organizational skills to handle multiple assignments. The position is based in Pawtucket, RI, however occasional or frequent travel may be required (per diem and lodging provided). Salary for the position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
