Sadly, dislike of the poorly maintained City Hall still runs rampant.
However, Rudolph’s never completed Government Services Center, Boston’s more poetic and less derivative, other great Brutalist masterpiece, is finally getting some attention and sympathetic press.
As for Emily and preservation, she ran a terrific piece on the plight of the Chestnut Hill Pumping Station when it was at its lowest ebb in the ‘90s.
