One of the selectmen in the town of Orleans on Cape Cod has proposed that the Town attempt to do away with the Old Kings Highway District in the Town. (See below.) Apparently they have had difficulty finding members for the Committee that reviews applications for permits in the District.
If you believe, as I do, that this is a betrayal of a long-help public trust, created by the Commonwealth of MA as a benefit to all its citizens,, please contact the Town via their website, or call the Town Administrator at
(508) 240-3700 x415, or email the Town Administrator directly: jkelly at town.orleans.ma.us. (Note that 3 selectment, including the one who has put forth this proposal are cc'd on this email.)
