You can look up Preservation Hall, in Wellfleet, on the Cape. Although not a "municipal" building it is a not-for-profit facility that serves the community. They have an informative website: (www.wellfleetpreservationhall.org
It is the former Our Lady of Lourdes church, built in 1910, and it is now a two-floor venue for performances, classes, weddings, etc., and has a thriving farmers' market in the rear yard once a week in the summer. Contact - Janet Lesniak the director, and the one person most responsible for the succes of the facility. She is copied on this email.
Architects and Landscape Architects - Hadley Crow Studio of (at the time) Orleans, MA (now Providence, RI)
Structural Engineer - Structures North, Salem, MA
MEP Engineers - Johnson Engineering and Design, Danvers, MA
Acoustical Consultants - Acentech Inc., Cambridge, MA
General Contractors - Acella Construction Corp., Norwell, MA

Architect, former Chair, Orleans, Historical Commission.

Greetings,

I am looking for examples of church buildings converted to municipal facilities (senior centers, arts centers etc.) in Massachusetts. Any examples and information (such as cost) would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
