[MassHistPres] RFP for Consultant to work with Town of Petersham to explore options for Nichewaug Inn and Academy property

The Town  of Petersham has voted to hire a consultant to help the town
resolve the future of a long-vacant, town-owned property located on the
historic Town Common. The former Nichewaug Inn, a shingle style building
was built in 1899. A large brick clad addition was built at the back of the
building when the inn was converted into a parochial school in the 1950s.
The Nichewaug Inn  is a contributing structure to a National Register
District.

The Petersham Selectboard is seeking a consultant who can provide
leadership, direction, and advice on the disposition, potential
redevelopment, and/or reuse of the Nichewaug property. The full RFP and

Applications are due by noon on Friday, December 11, 2015.

The Nichewaug Inn was listed  on Preservation Massachusetts' Most
Endangered Resources List in 2003.
